
This report is a summary of pregnancy and birthing experiences of Women of African and Caribbean heritage in Lothian, Scotland, along with actionable recommendations to address racialised and ethnic minority maternity disparities.
Our findings emphasize the urgent need for collaborative action—grounded in accountability and humility—to ensure equitable maternity and newborn care for African and Caribbean women across Scotland.
