Female Genital Mutilation
Our approach is about ending FGM without denigration, racial profiling, humiliation and stigmatization of people who are affected. We use a holistic approach to prevent FGM based on our experience and knowledge that social change happens when the people who are affected by an issues take an active role in tackling the problem with support from policy and laws.
African Women Talk
Through African women Talk, KWISA created spaces for empowering, supporting and engaging African women and girls and their families to speak for themselves. The meetings were good opportunity for African women to engage with one another, hear about the current issues affecting the African and reflect on how to support one another. The issues highlighted through these meetings are tackled using relevant approaches at individual, family, community and policy level.
