To help our community, we don’t only need donations but also helping hands that are willing to work. We need as many volunteers as we can get. Just contact us via the contact form or email us at volunteering@kwisa.org.uk.

KWISA was founded in 2012 by three Kenyan women who believed that Scotland needed to do more to meet the needs of women of African decent and their families. Since then they have worked tirelessly to grow the organisation and get KWISA’s message out there – organising events, campaigning and partnering with other organisations such as Faith Leaders, Third Sector organisations, MSPs , statutory bodies and the Scottish Government. KWISA’s achievements include bringing Faith Leaders together to sign a Declaration to eradicate FGM, petitioning the Scottish Government to add “Elongation” to their anti-FGM guidelines and attracting funding to build their capacity and expand their remit.
